Montana Agritourism Conference Seeking Speakers, Workshop Leaders, and Roundtable Discussion Hosts

2025 Agritourism Conference Set for November 21, 2025, in Bozeman, MT


BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Montana Department of Agriculture (MDA) is excited to invite proposals from potential speakers for the upcoming Montana Agritourism Conference set to take place on November 21, 2025, at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT.

The conference will bring together leaders, professionals, and entrepreneurs in the agritourism industry to connect, collaborate, and share knowledge. We’re looking for dynamic speakers who can engage and inspire attendees by addressing relevant topics related to agritourism, innovation, sustainability, and business growth.

The theme of the conference centers on unlocking opportunities, fostering collaboration, and exploring new ways to engage and grow the agritourism sector. The MDA is seeking speakers who can provide fresh insights, share practical strategies, and offer thought-provoking perspectives that will help attendees succeed in today’s rapidly evolving agritourism landscape.

Session Topics and Focus Areas:
We are looking for speakers to lead sessions in the following areas, although other relevant topics are also encouraged:

  • Insurance and Liability in Agritourism
  • Marketing and Promoting Agritourism Ventures
  • Business and Succession Planning for Agritourism
  • Sustainability Practices in Agritourism
  • Innovation and Technology in Agritourism
  • Visitor Experience: Designing Memorable Tours and Events
  • Building Partnerships and Community Collaboration
  • Emerging Trends in Agritourism

We encourage speakers with expertise in these or related fields to submit proposals that align with the conference theme.

Proposal Requirements:
If you are interested in speaking at the conference, please submit a proposal that includes the following:

  1. Speaker Bio: A short biography (max 150 words) highlighting your qualifications, experience, and expertise in the agritourism sector.
  2. Session Title and Description: A brief title and summary (max 250 words) of the session you would like to present. This should include key takeaways and how your session will benefit attendees.
  3. Target Audience: A description of who would most benefit from your session (e.g., farmers, ranchers, tourism professionals, etc.).
  4. Speaker Experience: A summary of your previous speaking engagements or relevant experience, including any recordings or links to past presentations, if available.
  5. Session Format and Duration: Let us know if your session will be a presentation, panel discussion, or workshop, and indicate your preferred duration (e.g., 45 minutes, 60 minutes, etc.).

Selection Criteria:
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to the conference theme and focus areas
  • Expertise and experience of the speaker
  • Practical applicability of the content for attendees
  • Engaging and interactive presentation style
  • Clear takeaways for the audience

How to Submit:
Please send your completed proposal to deborah.queen@mt.gov by 5:00p.m., June 27, 2025. We will notify selected speakers by August 22, 2025.
