Regional Food Business Centers
As part of the network of USDA Regional Food Business Centers, the Northwest and Rocky Mountain Regional Food Business Center supports a more resilient, diverse, and competitive food system. This Center is designed to be a node for our region’s small and mid-tier food and farm businesses and local and regional food sector development initiatives by supporting cross-regional collaboration, providing and analyzing relevant and timely data, and serving as a gateway for USDA programs and other third-party funding opportunities, with a focus on underserved farmers, ranchers, and food businesses.
We support Montana communities by providing information, technical assistance, and financial resources to elevate local and regional agricultural and food business entrepreneurs. The Northwest and Rocky Mountain Regional Food Business Center (RFBC) Montana team is led by the Montana Department of Agriculture, Montana Farm Bureau, Montana Farmers Union, Montana State University, the Grow Montana Coalition, and three at-large members.
We serve Montana food and farm business entrepreneurs by:
- Connecting entrepreneurs to available resources such as the Montana Food and Agricultural Development Center (FADC) Network
- Supporting technical assistance programs, curricula, and one-on-one business education Investment in on-farm and value added projects
