2026 International Year of the Woman Farmer Nominations Open
HELENA, Mont. – As we look forward to the new year, we are excited to celebrate 2026 as “The International Year of the Woman Farmer”.
The International Year of the Woman Farmer gives the global community a chance to highlight that fact and celebrate the incredibly important role women play in ensuring global food security. In May, 124 Nations around the globe voted for the resolution to make this happen.
Are you a woman in agriculture? Is there a woman in your life that you’d like to recognize? As part of the “International Year of the Woman Farmer”, the Montana Department of Agriculture (MDA) will be collecting stories statewide to amplify the voices of woman farmers and ranchers.
