Funding a Pull Your Share Educational Field Trip

The base expenses for a Pull Your Share Educational Field Trip are busing, a Pull Your Share sign and fasteners, gloves, weed pry tools, lunch, and a portable outhouse if a bathroom facility is not already at the site.

In many cases school districts have funds set aside for field trip busing. The Pull Your Share Project keeps on hand approximately 50 pairs of gloves and 50 weed pry tools to lend to classes the first year they adopt a site. The lending program is however on a first ask basis.

If you need funding assistance contact your County Conservation District and County Weed District, many times they will have funds available for conservation projects such as Pull Your Share educational weed pulls. They also have knowledge of grants they can help you apply for such as the DNRC Education Mini Grant.
