Lessons for Educators

Identifying a specific weed, understanding its characteristics and learning about various control methods to develop an integrated weed management plan is key to management. However, the easiest way to manage a noxious weed is to never have it in the first place. Land stewardship practice including prevention, control and monitoring should be included in overall integrated weed management plans.

The Invasive Species Education Program coordinates and supports education efforts across Montana and provides residents and visitors ways to prevent and manage
invasive species, including noxious weeds. Below are lessons resources from professionals and educators across the state regarding invasive plant education and management.
