COVID Relief Funds Distributed in 2020
The MT Dept. of Agriculture administered grant programs using federal funds allotted to Montana through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to strengthen food supply systems and bolstering food security across the state.
Montana Meat Processing Infrastructure GrantThe MMPIG program was created to aid small and medium-sized meat processors in responding to the COVID-19 crisis through the adaptation and advancement of meat processing infrastructure and capacity in Montana. To date, nearly $12 million has been awarded to over 100 processors across the state.
