COVID-19 Update for Pesticide Applicator Testing:

Due to COVID-19, the Montana Department of Agriculture (MDA) will begin scheduling exams for pesticide applicators on a limited basis beginning April 27th.  The way tests are proctored and where the exams are given has changed to minimize the risk of exposure.  Please contact your local MDA Field Office to schedule an exam using the following website:  https://agr.mt.gov/ASBFieldOffices

Using Restricted Use Pesticides in Indian Country:

Pesticide applicators wanting to apply restricted use pesticides in Indian country within Montana’s borders must obtain an EPA federal pesticide certification. Submit a complete federal certification application form and a photocopy of both sides of your current and valid State of Montana pesticide license to the EPA regional office at:

Montana State University's 2021 Crop & Pest Management School Canceled Due to Pandemic

Montana State University’s annual Crop and Pest Management School will not be offered in 2021 due to the pandemic, but pesticide applicators can attend other pest management events for pesticide license credits.

The  MDA Fall webinar trainings schedule is now available to help Montana pesticide applicators fulfill their continuing education requirements for their Montana pesticide license under the current COVID-19 situation. These trainings are being presented via Zoom and are free of charge. Each training will provide 1 CE per training* for the listed classifications (categories).
