The Montana Wheat and Barley Committee is inviting Montana producers and stakeholders to participate in a public Q & A with the five finalists in the two available tenure track breeding positions, Spring Wheat and Winter Wheat, in the Department of Plant Sciences and Plant Pathology at Montana State University.

“The Montana Wheat and Barley Committee is focused on helping producers see their checkoff dollars at work,” said Cassidy Marn, Executive Vice President of the Montana Wheat and Barley Committee. “Dr. Phil Bruckner and Dr. Luther Talbert each retired with a very strong record of conducting research relevant to our wheat growers and of releasing high yielding and high end-use quality varieties popular with Montana growers. The search committee has identified five excellent finalists for the Montana State University Winter and Spring wheat breeding positions. This is an opportunity for Montana stakeholders to meet the candidates, ask questions, and provide feedback to the search committee. These calls will give producers a chance to engage directly with researchers and share their experiences and ideas for what they would like to see.”
