About Montana Cattle Women:
The Montana Cattle Women, Inc. is a non-profit association serving as the
voice of women in the cattle industry to promote Beef through education, legislation
and communication.
The Creed of Montana and American National Cattle Women:
Believing that the livestock industry is of basic importance to world existence
we, the American National Cattle Women dedicate ourselves to support it with
our labor and finances, to promote it through information and publicity, to
encourage its producers with out understanding and love to do all in our power
to instill in the coming generations the love of the land and of life, the
humility and awe before nature, and the hope and faith in the future that
is inherent in Cattlemen.
Legislation:
A legislative lobbyist (nonpartisan) is hired by the Montana Cattle Women
each legislative session. The lobbyist stays in Helena and works closely with
the Montana Stockgrowers Association to support bills that are positive for
the Beef industry and discourage legislation that would be harmful to our
way of life.
A legislative calling tree is maintained by the Montana Cattle Women to spread the word fast should trouble arise at the state, local or national level.
Communication:
To keep our members informed and provide exchange of ideas for greater effectiveness
in Beef promotion, the Cattle Women provide:
- Newsletters
- Meetings
- Workshops
- Conventions
