Meetings Scheduled on Aquatic Weed Scoping for Noxon Reservoir
HELENA, Mont. — The Montana Department of Agriculture, Sanders County, and the Eurasian Watermilfoil Task Force will host two public meetings to discuss an upcoming environmental assessment for herbicide research trials on 40 acres of Eurasian watermilfoil and curlyleaf pondweed in Noxon Rapids Reservoir.
The March 16, 2009, meetings will be held to share information and receive comments related to the environmental affects of the program. Meetings are scheduled at the following locations.
- Noxon Emergency Services Building, Noxon, 1-3 p.m., Monday, March 16.
- Thompson Falls Courthouse, 1111 Main Street, Thompson Falls, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, March 16.
