Grain Inspector Retires After 33 Years with State

HELENA, Mont. — Kay Turnquist, a grain inspector and protein analyst at the Montana State Grain Laboratory for the past 33 years, will be honored at a retirement open house from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2007.

"Kay is a dedicated employee who has been operating the protein equipment at the lab for 30 years. We will miss her hard work, and all of the cakes she baked for co-workers birthdays," says Craig Essebaggers, State Grain Laboratory bureau chief.

The open house for friends, family and business acquaintances will be held at the laboratory offices at 821 17th St. North in Great Falls. The staff is providing snacks and refreshments.
