Marketing Officer Headed to China

HELENA, Mont. — A marketing official from the Montana Department of Agriculture will leave Thursday on a 10-day trade mission to China. Cassie Egbert, the department's international marketing officer, is participating in a mentoring program sponsored by the Western United States Agricultural Trade Association.

Marketing officers from Montana, Nevada and Oregon and company representatives from several other states will meet with potential customers in Chengdu, China, and will attend the Food and Hotel Shanghai Trade Show held November 14-16 in Shanghai China.

The three-day trade show is one of the largest food, beverage and hospitality shows in Asia, attracting exhibitors from around the world and 16,000 buyers from the region. Companies from eight U.S. states will participate in the show, Egbert said. The Greater Shanghai region has more than 200 million consumers and the highest standard of living in China.
