Montana Agricultural Products Showcased at Capitol
HELENA, Mont. — The Montana Department of Agriculture will host the Montana Agricultural Showcase March 21-22, 2007, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Capitol rotunda. More than 200 products from throughout Montana including beef, goat cheese, ag equipment and retail grain products will be on display.
"We're commemorating National Agriculture Week by celebrating the diversity of Montana's agricultural bounty, and we're sharing this experience with our state's legislators," says Agriculture Director Nancy K. Peterson.
Each day a range of food and beverages, such as beef, tea, sausage, salsa
and mushrooms will be available for tasting. Other agricultural products
displayed will include wool blankets, soaps, lotions and candles.
A highlight of the showcase will be the Montana value-added agriculture
success stories. Exhibitors include the following companies: AquilaVision,
Inc., Missoula; Trapper Creek Winery, Darby; Arbuckle Ranch, Inc., Billings;
Montana Specialty Mills, Great Falls; Sweet Grass Pellets, Fairfield; Peaks
and Prairies, Bigfork; Sugar Loaf Wool Carding Mill, Hall; and Montana Emu
Ranch Co., Kalispell.
Companies that will offer samples fo their value-added products include: Hoy Enterprises, LLC, Billings; La Cense Beef, Dillon; Montana Monster Munchies, Bozeman; Indreland Ranch Angus Beef, Big Timber; Amaltheia Dairy LLC, Belgrade; Redneck Brand Smoked Meats, Kalispell; High Mountain, Inc., Ravalli; Howling Moon Salsa, Hamilton; Tipu's Tiger Indian Cuisine, Missoula; Knight's BBQ, Lakeside; and Garden City Fungi, Missoula.
