Export Marketing Workshops Offered in Three Cities

HELENA, Mont. — The Montana Departments of Agriculture and Commerce are offering three one-and-a-half-day workshops during the coming weeks on export marketing and logistics.

The workshops have been developed to assist Montana companies that are current exporters, are in the process of expanding into foreign markets, or are considering export opportunities.

The workshops will be held in computer labs, offering participants the opportunity to work directly on aspects of marketing including: export readiness; identifying export markets and product demand; developing an export marketing plan; selling to foreign markets; and managing export sales.

Technical components covered during the workshops will include: the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA); certificates of origin; export licensing; international commercial trade terms (Incoterms); quoting and sales contracts; and export documentation.

Two-day advance notice from companies is required. Early registration is encouraged since space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
