Each of Montana's 56 counties has a county weed district. Each weed district has a county weed coordinator who is very knowledgeable about the noxious weed species in that county. County weed districts are a great source for information; at the office you’ll find brochures and informational handouts on noxious weed species identification, herbicides and calibration for spraying, and a wealth of knowledge about how to treat noxious weed species that are a problem on your property.
Some counties even offer a rental program, where you can rent sprayer equipment to treat noxious weeds on your property.
It is a good idea to familiarize yourself about where the weed district is located as well as the services they can provide to
you in managing noxious weeds on your property.
