Bed Bug Information

Check out EPA's Bed Bug Clearinghouse.  This website has information for pest control operators, schools, hotels, landlords, health care facilities, and many other audiences.  The site is strongly filtered by EPA to provide only the most reliable information related to Bed Bugs, much of it is in a brochure format so that agencies, clinics, pest control operators and others can download and print the materials they find to be most valuable and want to share.  The site is updated with new information as it becomes available.

The Association of Structural Pest Control Regulatory Officials (ASPCRO) is comprised of pesticide state lead agency personnel who work together with EPA to address national issues related to the structural pest control industry.  There is a search function on the front page of their website, and searching for bed bugs will provide you with meeting minutes and conference procedings related to EPA and the state's efforts to address bed bug and pesticide-related issues.  Representing Montana is Linda Johns, MDA's Education and Assessment Section Supervisor, who may be reached at ljohns@mt.gov

The Centers for Disease Control and EPA have determined that bed bugs are a pest of significant public health importance.  Read more in the link to better understand risks associated with bed bugs and how government agencies are working together to provide support and resources to those affected.
