The Full approved list of Recertification training opportunities is located on the "Continuing Education and Training Courses" webpage (see link to the left of page). The site provides registration information for signing up for a particular training course. If it is an MDA sponsor training you will be able to register directly. If it is an outside training, the page will give you contact information or direct you to a registration site. The site also offers the ability for a licensed applicator or dealer to view ongoing educational credits. Trainings sponsored by the Montana Department of Agriculture are below.

 

Private farm applicators and landowners can receive training requirements for applying restricted-use pesticide products from the Montana State University extension (see external link below).

 

Training Standards

General Training Information:


·        Trainings are approved for up to 6 credits per event. Be sure to check whether a training is approved for YOUR category before registering.

·        Online training is available through multiple outside vendors and are listed in our approved courses list. Fees range from FREE to $25 per credit, depending on the sponsor. Please note: there is a 6 credit maximum per category for online training per recertification cycle. You may take as many online trainings as you wish, however only 6 credits will count toward your required 12 credits. Training credits take approximately 30 days to be reflected on your training summary.

           Applicators and Dealers are not required to attend trainings through the Department of Agriculture. Check the Approved Courses list to view all of the offered trainings available for credit. The trainings on the Approved Courses list are the only trainings available for credit. The Approved Courses list is updated regularly so check frequently for new training opportunities.
