Financial Assistance Programs
The department offers limited financial assistance to businesses and producers. Programs include an agricultural development initiative for value-added businesses, called Growth Through Agriculture, and rural development loans to provide lower interest rates to beginning farmers and ranchers seeking to start or expand their operations.
Small loans also are available for 4-H and FFA individuals and for community development projects conducted by rural youth organizations. Details can be found using the Rural Development link below.
