GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The Montana State Grain Lab will hold public meetings in Great Falls and Plentywood to discuss proposed changes to the mustard and safflower crop quality standards to improve marketability in Canadian markets.
The first meeting will be March 15 from 2-3 p.m. at the State Grain Lab office in Plentywood. The second will be March 21 from 2-3 p.m. at the State Grain Lab office in Great Falls. All producers and merchants of mustard or safflower crops are encouraged to attend.
The agenda includes a presentation of proposed changes and updates. Changes to the mustard standard are significant, while changes to the safflower standard are minor.
